Do you know the story of Carmesina at Alaquàs Castle?

Carmesina, one of the characters from the famous novel Tirant lo Blanch, is now one of the giants that welcomes visitors to Alaquàs Castle, and she has a very special story to tell.

In our storytelling activity, The Disorganised Carmesina, her untidy nature becomes the heart of the adventure. Young visitors become detectives and help put the castle rooms back in order while discovering its history.

A fun storytelling activity where an actor portraying Lope de Vega invites students to join the Nocturnos Academy. Together, they will discover the history of this literary group while exploring the walls of Alaquàs Castle and uncovering its hidden stories.

At Buñol Castle, students will learn about the people who loved poetry and literature but had to keep their identities secret. To protect themselves, they used pseudonyms and met within the castle walls.

In this interactive activity, every student takes part in the story and becomes part of history.

How did the present-day town of Alaquàs come into being?

Al-aquas was a Muslim alqueria whose people lived from the fertile surrounding farmland. Its name comes from the abundance of water that flowed through the area. When Christians settled in the village, it began to grow, transforming its layout and the way its old and new inhabitants lived together.

Join us to discover the historic quarters of Alaquàs—the Christian Quarter, the Moorish Quarter, and the Potters’ Quarter—through a guided theatrical tour featuring different historical characters.
