SUMMARY:Cyclotourisme: “The Irrigation Heritage of València’s Farmland in l’Horta Sud: Manises and Quart de Poblet”
DESCRIPTION:This route takes us through the municipalities of Manises and Quart de Poblet, where we will explore in depth some hydraulic structures which, taken together, form a unique system in the world. These structures make irrigation in l’Horta de València possible: the Mestalla and Mislata irrigation weirs, the new Repartiment weir and the new Turia river channel, a water distributor of Muslim origin and the Horquillas aqueduct.\nThe route will also help us understand how the millennia-old institution that regulates this system, the Tribunal de las Aguas (Water Tribunal), works.
